Regenerative medicine and strategies using the patient’s own tissue are the most modern effective approach for rejuvenation and soft tissue augmentation. Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and autologous fat grafting are two unique techniques for this modern treatment today. Synthetic fillers or implants have their own set of long-term problems while one's own tissue do not have. Such treatment using the patient’s own stem cells as a “natural regenerative implant” could keep its shape and size for years, perhaps for life. PRP obtained by a simple technique from patient’s own blood is rich on regenerative growth factors that could be used for skin rejuvenation, wrinkles correction, hair re-growth etc by injection in different levels of skin. Fat grafting is the latest effective technique for volume correction in aesthetic and reconstructive fields. It presents important advantages in comparison to other fillers, mainly for its regenerative capacities and long term effect. These advantages are offered by regenerative and stem cells highly concentrated in fat tissue. Stem cells are merely immature cells that differentiate to different cell types to renew, regenerate and heal damaged tissues. Fat grafting is known as the safest and simplest treatment with a stable long term result in aesthetical surgery and medicine. However, the success of this treatment depends highly on harvesting, purification and injection methods of fat tissue that will be addressed in this course. More recently Dr. S. Ali Modarressi has described a new combined treatment of autologous PRP and fat grafting to improve results and patient’s satisafaction. These innovative autologous regenerative treatments of wrinkles, imperfections and ageing by fat grafts and PRP will be presented through an interactive 2-days course to the participants in a scientific program including theory, live-demonstration and workshops. |
